Start your day by making a Conscious Decision to have a positive day. As you wake up make that your VERY first thought. The attitude you start your day with will be the prevailing attitude you carry with you throughout the day.

Follow these Action Steps:
Action Step 1
Once you are awake, but before you are out of bed repeat the following – a minimum of 5 x each:
- I give grateful thanks for today
- I will attract only the positive into my life today
- I will actively look for the positive in EVERYTHING I see, do, hear or receive today
- I will radiate only positive thoughts today
- I feel happy, I feel healthy and I feel terrific today!!
Action Step 2
Spend 2 -3 minutes visualising only positive outcomes from everything you do today:
- Visualise any meetings, or interactions that you may be involved in, having only positive outcomes
- Visualise your entire day, in ‘fast forward’, with everything starting and ending positively
- Visualise having interaction with only positive people throughout the day
Action Step 3
Perform regular AFFIRMATIONS throughout the day, such as:
- I am in control of my thoughts
- I am in control of my feelings
- I choose to be positive
- I feel happy, I feel healthy and I feel terrific
- I am totally positive
- I have mastered the art of positive thinking
Action Step 4
Become a master of positive ‘self talk’. Simply do not allow anything but positive self talk to guide you through the day. Do this by:
- Resisting the temptation to blame yourself, or others
- Resisting the temptation to be critical of yourself, or others
- Resisting the temptation to be judgemental of yourself, or others
- Resisting the temptation to argue
- Resisting the temptation to become involved in conflict situations
Action Step 5
Commit to having a positive attitude and hold YOURSELF accountable for your attitude:
- Inform your family, friends and associates of what you are doing and ask them to reflect back to you when your attitude is not positive
- Commit to reading one book on positive thinking and self motivation per month (see my recommended products for a few great books to start with)
- Avoid negativity at all costs (newspapers, negative and depressed people)

Action Step 6
Give grateful thanks for all you have. Say out loud:
- I give thanks for family, friends and ALL those that have been responsible for shaping my life
- I give grateful thanks for the food on my table
- I give grateful thanks for the roof above my head
- I give grateful thanks for my health
- I give grateful thanks for the work that I am able to do
- Decide to send 3 thank you notes to people that have helped you in some way over the last few weeks
(continue if there are other area of your life for which you can give thanks)
In summary
Will everything always go absolutely according to plan, start and end positively? Probably not! However, even if things don’t always follow that plan you would like, the one thing you will always be in control of is your ATTITUDE about what has happened.
A basic example of this would be having a minor motor vehicle accident. Instead of the focus being on the fact that you survived, the focus is usually around, ‘why me’, blaming the other part, anger, irritation, frustration, negative self talk.. all of which serves no real purpose except to raise you blood pressure!!
Go ahead, have a POSITIVE DAY!
